- What does our annual fee include?
- The annual renewal cost per school is determined by the Managed Services package (Silver, Gold or Platinum) selected by the school plus the yearly hosting fee (as determined by the total school enrollment). The package you choose (Silver, Gold or Platinum) determines what specifically is included in the annual fee. ALL active managed service customers (Silver, Gold or Platinum) receive the following annual benefits:
- Import & Enrollment
- Coaching & Mentoring
- Progress Monitoring
- Remote Technical Support
- State Edition (if applicable)
- High Stakes Test Objectives Import (if applicable)
- State Standards-based Import (if applicable).
- Gold and Platinum package customers receive the Classworks FIND assessment and Platinum Level customers receive an executive summary three times per year.
- What will you provide for us?
- In year one of the implementation, your Implementation Manager will provide the following key deliverables to all your sites:
- Enrollment and Data Import
- Needs Analysis
- Action Plan with Computer Schedule
- Teacher Professional Development
- Coaching & Mentoring
- Progress Monitoring
- First, we save you time by importing the enrollment and testing data (if applicable) for you. A needs analysis, which includes extensive research of each Classworks site, is done prior to the implementation to ensure Classworks will be used for the appropriate students. From the results of the needs analysis, your implementation manager will write an action plan (that includes a specific computer lab schedule, if applicable) that is incorporated into your school improvement plan. From there, teacher professional development is done on-site to ensure your teachers are trained to use Classworks to meet the goals as outlined in the needs analysis and action plan. After teacher professional development is delivered, we provide continuous coaching and mentoring that enables our implementation manager to observe actual classroom and lab situations, providing on-sight guidance into best teaching practices for teachers and lab managers. Our Implementation Managers are given the flexibility to provide what is necessary to deliver success for each given site. They will be in constant communication -- in-person, by phone and email -- to meet your needs. Further, we provide regular progress monitoring by tracking student data to help district leaders, site leaders, and instructional personnel monitor the implementation for desired results. Consistent feedback of usage/mastery levels will be provided and site level meetings will be held to review the implementation.
- How much training do we receive?
- Training and support are on-going throughout the implementation; there is no set number of days or credits. Your implementation manager will work closely with you and your staff to determine the focus of training so that sessions are relevant and meaningful to the implementation goals. Additionally, he/she will monitor the progress of both your staff and students to better determine the level of support both need. Training and support can take place in many forms; in person, via email or phone, through Go To Meeting sessions, etc. Your Implementation Manager will work with you to determine the best delivery, as well as address all training and implementation related concerns in a timely manner.
- What information & data will we need to provide?
- The first item you will need to provide will be your enrollment data. Your Implementation Manager will work closely with you to help determine what information needs to be pulled from your student information system, whether it is student info, teacher info, class info, or a combination of the three. This information will be easily imported into Classworks by your Implementation Manager. Additional data that may need to be provided will be determined by your implementation plan. Your Implementation Manager may ask for your state data file if your plan is to use the scores to create individual learning paths for each student. We will work closely with you to help you obtain the correct data file. We will even import the data for you!
- Will I have to pay money each time someone comes to my school?
- No. We provide on-going support as part of our managed services package. Whether that includes training sessions, coaching and mentoring sessions, Go To Meetings, drop-ins to check on your progress, etc. – we are here to support you and help you reach your goals. Customer Care is our top priority.
- What does a “Needs Analysis” include?
- The Needs Analysis provides the Implementation Manager with a better understanding of the structure of your school, the availability and access of technology to accommodate Classworks, your goals and objectives in years past, as well as your goals and objectives for achieving student success in the future. This extensive research allows the Implementation Manager to design an Action Plan that is both unique and relevant to meeting your needs. We understand that part of the value is having a dedicated individual who understands where you’ve been and where you’re headed; this document is just the tool that will turn your goals into accomplishments.
- What do we do during an implementation meeting?
- During the implementation meeting, your Implementation Manager will review the information that he/she has gathered from the Needs Analysis. The Action Plan that was developed specifically for your school/district to help meet your goals and objectives will be shared and adjustments may be made to the plan as necessary. This action plan will be your roadmap to a successful Classworks implementation. Based upon your Action Plan, we will discuss your training needs and identify the individuals that will help supply the necessary data files. The IM will also begin the process of choosing the Classworks Champions for your school.
- What is a Classworks Champion?
- A Classworks champion partners with Classworks to ensure a successful implementation of Classworks.
- They are an advocate for the program and will become intimately familiar with its capabilities. In addition to being a “cheerleader” they will receive advanced training on functionality from both a teacher and administrative perspective.
- They will be a “go to” person for teachers in the school, and they will be a liaison and point of contact for the IM.
- How will Classworks Champions be chosen and what characteristics should a champion have?
- With the help of the school’s administration, the IM will identify several individuals who demonstrate Champion characteristics. The Champion should demonstrate the following:
- Strong belief in the benefits of Classworks
- Respected by peers in school
- Willingness to be a support for other teachers in the school
- Comfortable with technology
- Willingness to receive advanced Classworks training
